Open the downloaded fileDouble-click BarkRemoteSupport.dmg in your Downloads folder.
Install the appDrag Bark Remote Support into the Applications folder shown in the window.
Open the appDouble-click Bark Remote Support from your Applications folder. macOS will ask "Are you sure you want to open it?" — this is normal for apps downloaded from the internet. Click Open to continue.
This prompt only appears the first time you open the app. Bark Remote Support is signed and verified by Apple.
Extract the downloaded fileRight-click BarkRemoteSupport-Windows.zip in your Downloads folder and choose Extract All.
Open the extracted folderOpen the BarkRemoteSupport folder that was created.
Run the appDouble-click BarkRemoteSupport.exe. Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" warning — this is normal for apps downloaded from the internet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Send Diagnostics
Plug in your Bark SyncConnect it to your computer via USB. The app will show a green status when the device is detected.
If macOS asks "Allow accessory to connect?", click Allow. This lets your computer communicate with the Bark Sync.
Click "Send Diagnostics"The app will collect configuration and log data from your Bark Sync and send it directly to the Bark support team. This may take a minute.
Wait for confirmationA green checkmark will appear when the diagnostics have been sent successfully. You can then close the app and unplug the Bark Sync.
Troubleshooting
If the app says "Bark Sync not detected", try unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable.
Make sure the Bark Sync is powered on before connecting it to your computer.
If diagnostics fail to send, check that your computer has an internet connection and try again.
